Educational/Professional Info

Maren graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science in 2005 and a master's degree in speech-language pathology in 2007. She completed her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in 2008 and has maintained her ASHA certification since that time. Maren has worked across a diverse variety of settings including special education preschools, K-12 public schools, home health neuro rehabilitation, and telehealth for rural charter schools. She joined Dry Creek Speech Therapy in 2018 where she treats a wide range of communication disorders including developmental language delays, articulation/phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, social skills deficits, fluency disorders, and cognitive communication deficits. She has a passion for improving functional communication skills whether it be in young children learning to express basic needs or in adults recovering from acquired brain injuries. She is credentialed with most major insurance companies and is experienced in providing treatment via telehealth as appropriate. Maren is dedicated to educating and supporting caregivers as they navigate new diagnoses, and she is passionate about delivering evidence-based treatment in functional and meaningful ways to improve the lives of her patients and their families. Imagine helping an individual learn (or relearn) to say their name, ask for help, or even tell a joke. Maren is honored to build relationships with her patients and be part of their journey toward better communication.
